Mul oli täiesti meelest läinud, et jõulud on juba järgmine kuu ja peaks selleks ajaks midagi kaunist valmis tegema. Hämmastav kuidas aeg lihtsalt lendab!!!! Aga õnneks tuletati mulle seda meelde 🙂

Jõuluaja värvid on punane ja kuldne ja hõbedane, roheline jne. Ja nendest lähtuvalt ka ehteid tegema asusin. Rohelist ma siiski ei kasutanud, sest see ei lähe meie rahvale eriti peale. Ostsin mina Karnaluksi käsitöölaost helmeid kokku suuremal hulgal ja külastasin ka Pärlipesa poodi. Vaatasin Youtube’st inspiratsiooni saamiseks erinevaid videoid ja hakkasin tööga pihta. Tähekesed on ajakirjast “Minu käsitööd” helmeste eriväljaandest, narmastega kõrvakad samamoodi. Kividest tehtud helmed keti otsas, kaelakeedes ja kõrvarõngastes on saadud Offthebeadedpath videost The New Beaded Bead. Nelinurksed väiksemad ja suuremad kõrvakad mummudega on Aunties Beads videost, kus Karla õpetab brick stitch ehk telliskivi tehnikat. Ühed nelinurksed kõrvarõngad on tehtud Tila helmestega. Meisterdamise peale kulus 5 päeva ja asi läks nii hulluks, et isegi magasin koos helmestega. Hakkasin üks hommik voodit tegema ja mustad helmed vaatasid vastu lina pealt 😛

Perele sai kraam ette näidatud ja isegi mu 85 aastane vanaema uudistas asju nagu noor neiu, kes endale midagi kandmiseks valib 🙂 Kõik jäid rahule ja see tekitas hea tunde, et peale minu need veel kellelegi meeldivad! Jõuluaeg võib tulla, sest kinkide poole pealt olen ma valmis 🙂

It just occured to me that next month is Christmas and that I should do something beautiful for that time. So I went shopping and bought alot of different beads and supplies for my projects. For me Christmas colors are black and red and silver and gold. Green too but we estonians don’t wear green clothes etc. We like green Christmas trees and green curtains and table cloths and thats it. So I didn’t use green for my jewelry.

Starlike earrings I made using a pattern from an estonian magazine. Beaded beads earrings on a chain, gold and silver necklaces I made using an idea I got from Offthebeadedpath video via Youtube. Name of the video is “The New Beaded Bead”. Square earring with gold beads at the bottom are from Aunties Beads video where Karla shows how to do brick stitch. I used some black Tila beads to make a pair of earrings and I got the pattern from the internet http://aroundthebeadingtable.blogspot.com/2011/04/new-pattern-uploaded-diamond-tila.html There is a pattern you can buy. I also found a free pattern to make the same earrings but I cant find it anymore.
It took me 5 days to make them and it got so crazy I even slept with beads 😀 One morning when I started to make my bed some black beads were on the sheet!

I showed my stuff to my family and they were positive. They all liked my jewelry and even my 85 years old grandmother looked at them like she wanted to pick something out! She is not easily impressed with jewelry but she liked my new stuff wery much 🙂 It felt really good to know that my family liked what I had done because like all estonians they are critical and don’t praise alot.

So Christmas time presents are covered and I can rest. Yessssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
